LaRouche: `It's No Longer a Gaza Strip Conflict; This Thing Is Not Going To End'

Jan. 7, 2009 (EIRNS)—This release was issued today by the Lyndon LaRouche Political Action Committee (LPAC).

Even as the whole world watches the Gaza massacre get bloodier and bloodier, accompanying so-called news reports claim that some agreement is around the corner which will put it all behind us. Not so!

"The key thing we should keep in mind," Lyndon LaRouche said this afternoon, "is that this thing is not going to end.

The intention was to set a fire that could not be quenched. The parties involved in this are not of that disposition, on the Israeli side or otherwise. You've got the 'bloody hand' on this thing. This is now the fuse for the conflict; it is no longer a Gaza Strip conflict,— it's an international conflict. Somebody lit the fuse, and the fuse is burning, but the bomb is not removed. That's the key thing we have to get across to people. This is not ended; this is not something that has happened; it's something that should never have started.

The Israelis were pressed massively to do it. and the pressure came partly from the United States. This operation was known for a year. It was a planned homicide, and one of the motivations for the Israelis was to try to deny the fact that they had been defeated in their Lebanon war of 2006. They lost that war, and they're trying to pretend they didn't. 'Don't tell us we lost the war.' Well, they DID lose that war; they shouldn't have started it. They're going to lose this one, too!

And of course, Cheney and Company, who are British, are fully guilty in this thing.

The British set it up; it's Sykes-Picot; it's no mystery. But the problem we have is that people are still living in a Cartesian universe, and they don't believe in reality.
