The Liars Are Exposed—Unite the World Around the Truth!

July 21, 2023, 2022 (EIRNS)—If you tell a lie loudly enough and frequently enough, then people will most certainly begin to believe it—or at least that’s the theory of those followers of the modern-day Goebbels school of thought. Thus, a new and obnoxious lie was born this week on the occasion of Russia’s cancellation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, with claims coming from the usual suspects that, “See, we told you Putin could not be trusted!” As has been said before, wars are based on lies, and these kinds of lies are leading us straight to a world war.

Right on cue, the British called a UN Security Council Meeting Friday, July 21, where they accused Russia of “waging war on the world’s food supply” and “stealing the food supply of millions.” In addition, both the British and Ukrainian Defense Ministries released statements condemning the Russian decision as intentionally disruptive. Ukraine blustered that Russia “has once again brutally violated the universal right of the whole world to free navigation and is deliberately undermining food security, condemning millions of people to starvation.” American and European officials also twisted Russia’s words and actions to further poison the environment.

The question is, however, is any of this true? Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin spoke today on the subject, calmly responding to the situation. Significantly, he spoke about Russia’s plans to sidestep the blockages and ship grain and fertilizers directly to countries in need, and to do it free of charge. It should also be noted that President Putin had elaborated on this a day earlier, when he described how, out of the 262,000 tons of fertilizer shipped from Russia, only 54,000 was allowed through European sanctions to make its way to Africa—the rest was blocked. When looked at truthfully, the accusations against Russia begin to fall apart, and appear as only another farce.

Then there was Turkish President Erdogan, who further let the cat out of the bag. Rather than berating Russia in such absurd ways as the Western countries did, Erdogan said that Russia has “certain expectations from Western countries, and it is crucial for these countries to take action in this regard.” In fact, half of the attendees at Friday’s UNSC meeting refused to accuse Russia of such heinous lies and instead emphasized the need for further negotiations, knowing full well it was the Western sanctions that were the actual cause of the grain initiative’s demise.

The real truth is that the majority of the world is no longer falling for the same lies being fabricated by the world’s would-be oligarchs. These oligarchs are currently ruling over Western nations which are decaying at near break-neck speed, as their financial Ponzi schemes are collapsing and proposed “green energy” schemes are wreaking destruction—while lies and intimidation are used to maintain a semblance of control. A delightful touch in this regard was seen at the conclusion of the July 17-18 EU-CELAC (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) summit where the “Malvinas Islands” was referred to instead of the “Falkland Islands”—as demanded by the British—a passing gesture which has reportedly caused a “frantic” reaction within the U.K.

It remains to be seen how much this reality can even be outlawed within the U.S. itself. Democratic presidential precandidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. testified at the House committee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government on Wednesday, July 19, where he blasted the “new form of censorship” targeting and smearing anyone who tries to break free from the accepted topics of discussion. Raising the issue of “toxic polarization,” Kennedy asked: “Do you think you can end that by censoring people?” This is increasingly being discussed openly in the U.S., and it is only a matter of time before the implications it has expands to the fact that Americans are today being used as pawns in a push for global war.

The world is at a breaking point, and cannot remain there forever. It is up to those with a higher vision of peace among nations and peoples to weigh in and catalyze a new policy—don’t expect it to come from the mentally and morally dead U.S. two-party system. Towards this end, the International Peace Coalition met for the seventh time Friday, July 21, to discuss plans and organizing during these crucial days and weeks ahead. Leading the discussion was the upcoming August 6 peace demonstration on the anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.

So don’t wait for a sore rear—stop sitting on the fence and mobilize for August 6!
