Georgia Officials Erect Tower of Babel Lying about Video Showing Election Stealing

Dec. 6, 2020 (EIRNS)—Election officials and spokesmen under the Georgia Secretary of State—Republicans—have issued such laughably various and contradictory “explanations” of the tell-tale Atlanta ballot-stuffing video as to indicate they don’t care if anyone believes them, and are confident the true event is ignored by most U.S. media, and all those abroad. And more particularly, they believe that if they take care to criticize President Donald Trump for “going too far” with his challenges, etc., media will cover those attacks, and not bother with their inability to explain away what the video plainly shows—nor with the existence of the video itself.

Gabriel Sterling, identified only as “an election official”—who stuffs the media with a self-serving press conference and interviews attacking the President—on Dec. 4 retweeted a post from a Fox reporter who said he watched the two-hour video with Sterling, but Sterling himself only links to the widely shown “90-second video.” He then said that the suitcases taken out from beneath a covered table where they had been secreted all day, after most election workers and all observers and media had been sent home, were not suitcases of ballots, but only “boxes” into which scanned mail-in ballots were going to be packed for storage by the four stay-behind workers. Sterling called this explanation “a fact-check.” The video, of course, plainly shows ballots being removed from the containers by those workers and run through three scanners for a long period of time. Otherwise, Sterling just retweets media quoting him from a “fact-checking” outfit called “Lead Stories” which quotes of quotes are supposed to prove nothing happened—but none of these supplies a link to whole video.

Raffensberger spokesman Walter Jones on Dec. 5 made a still more preposterous statement, according to the Washington Times:

“The Secretary of State’s Office was aware that Fulton County scanning had continued during the period captured in the video presented at the [state] Senate hearing. This office dispatched an investigator and notified the independent monitor appointed by the State Election Board who both observed scanning until it was halted for the night around midnight. The independent monitor has overseen elections all over the world.... We have launched an investigation into why the monitors from the political parties left before scanning ended. While it was their right to leave early, we want to make certain they were not misled into thinking scanning had stopped for the night when it had not. Nothing we have learned from the independent monitor or our investigation have suggested any improper ballots were scanned,’ Mr. Jones said.”

(Emphasis added.) Other media quoted Jones as saying, “For clarification, I informed ABC News that some workers left, but four remained.”

Misled? Two observers from the Atlanta center, and several from other vote-counting centers, have said in sworn affidavits that they were told in no uncertain terms to leave at 10:30 p.m. or even much earlier because ballot processing was finished for the day, and to return at 8:30 on Nov. 4; this, in Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, by “a blond-haired lady” whom GOP ballot monitors “assumed was the supervisor” of the center all day. Their affidavit identified four “election employees” who stayed behind at State Farm: “leaving just the blond haired lady (who Michelle [Branton] and I [Mitchell Harrison] assumed was the supervisor), two older ladies and Regina Waller at the location.” The head of the Georgia GOP David Shafer said, “Our Republican observers and members of the news media departed State Farm when they announced they were shutting down for the night and would resume counting at 8:30 a.m. the next day...” and the remaining people “continued counting ballots in secret until 1 a.m.” Shafer stated in a tweet later “With a sweet smile, @GabrielSterling has accepted Fulton County’s explanation that the Republican monitors and news media are to blame for believing the election officials who told them that they were shutting down, packed up the voting equipment and started cleaning.”

To making things more confusing ABC News wrote in Twitter: “The election department sent the ballot counters at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta home at 10:30 p.m., Regina Waller, the Fulton County public affairs manager for elections, tells ABC News.” Regina Waller confirmed by email to the Epoch Times that she also told ABC that some of the election officials had left, but four remained.

Secretary of State Raffensberger announced that 250 investigations are now going on, and asked “anyone with credible evidence to bring it to us,” according to “Just the News” on Dec. 4. Asked what if all 250 investigations would turn into convictions, Raffensberger said, “Probably not. I suspect some of them may be misunderstandings. It’s not necessarily fraud.” So it’s becoming a very slippery night in Georgia.

This Tower of Babel will continue to grow, and confirm criminal corruption as the Biblical Tower did; but mass media continue to ignore the event which plainly turned Georgia from a victory for Trump, to a steal for Biden.
