Iranian and Russian Presidents Confer on Political Damages from Bombing of Syria

April 15, 2018 (EIRNS)—President Vladimir Putin of Russia spoke by phone with President Hassan Rouhani of Iran on Sunday, regarding the bombing of Syria. According to Putin’s website,

“The Presidents stated that this illegitimate action has seriously damaged the prospects for a political settlement in Syria.

“Russia is ready for a multifaceted cooperation with the Arab League in order to ensure regional security, boosting political reconciliation and post-conflict reconstruction in these countries, [and] solving pressing humanitarian issues,”

he wrote, according to TASS and RT reports on his message, posted to the President’s Russian-language website.
