LaRouche Targets the DLC: ‘Protection Racket for Cheney’

by Jeffrey Steinberg and Edward Spannaus

The Democratic Leadership Council, consisting of neo-conservative “stay-behinds” in the Democratic Party, is the only reason that Vice President Dick Cheney has not been forced to resign, or be impeached, as a result of the lies he told to manipulate the President and Congress into going for war against Iraq. The DLC, founded in the mid-1980s, is a creation of the “Synarchist” fascist circles on Wall Street, as personified by Felix Rohatyn, the banker from Lazard Brothers who is also a board member of the DLC. It is also the bastion of opposition within the Democratic Party to Lyndon LaRouche’s campaign for the Presidency.

by Claudio Celani

The European Union’s heads of state and government, meeting in Thessaloniki, Greece, endorsed the idea of expanding infrastructure investment—while falling short, so far at least, of giving full institutional backing to the Italian government’s “Tremonti Plan.”

‘DeLantos’ Democrats Attack Bush’s Road Map

by Michele Steinberg

Rep. Tom Lantos (D-Calif.) rushed through legislation supporting the Israeli policy of “preventive assassinations,” blaming the Palestinians for all the violence that has occurred since the Aqaba summit. His action at the behest of the neo-conservative warmongers, notably House Majority Whip, Republican Tom DeLay (Tex.), has earned him the nickname “Delantos,” while dangerously jeopardizing the President’s Road Map for Israeli-Palestinian peace.
